The Champion Fire Department will open its doors to the public for their biennial Open House on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Champion Fire Department serves all those in need within the Township and supports other departments when necessary. They constantly undergo training to be prepared for any eventuality. Chief Hickey and his staff of dedicated firefighters provided tours and information, there was free food, handouts, a giant slide and a raffle, as well as equipment and vehicles from around the county.
