Champion Central School was built and would serve students in grades 1-12 (first high school in Champion).
There were nine one-room school houses in Champion serving students in grades 1-8. The No. 3 Shafer road school house currently sits adjacent to the Champion Township Cemetery; 149 Center St. East.
