Chevy All-Star Dealers generously support TCTC Equine Program

On Jan. 13 the Chevy All-Star Dealers Russell Banks of R.D. Banks Chevrolet and Vincent Prindle of Lou Wollam Chevrolet attended the Trumbull Career and Technical Center Board meeting. Banks and Pringle were there to present generous donations on behalf of the Chevy All-Stars to the TCTC Equine Program - $10,000 each. The $20,000 donation will be used to help fund the construction of an outdoor riding arena. The benefits of this facility are significant. The Equine Program students will have the opportunity to expand their skills and increase their capabilities in the riding arena built specifically with their program in mind.
The Equine Program is already extremely successful. The outdoor arena will serve to uphold and even increase the already impressive performance this program offers its students.
According to TCTC:
• Students have participated in multiple Future Farmers of America events
• Students have participated in many events sanctioned by the US Drill Association
• Students have claimed first place in 5 of the last 7 drill competitions
• Students have scored 100% on Technical Skill Attainment
• An impressive 91% of program graduates have found work in the program field
TCTC acknowledges that the success of this program is largely based on its strong ties with its business community partners like the Chevy All-Stars. With these generous donations from R.D. Banks Chevrolet and Lou Wollam Chevrolet, Chevy All-Stars, the Equine Program will continue to positively impact generations of students who in turn put their attained skills to productive use within the community. These donations equate to generosity in action and the students are reminded of the opportunity afforded them as a result of such dedicated community partners.
