CHROMEBOOKS COME TO CHAMPION MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSROOMS
Champion Middle School is moving forward with technology with the addition of 150 Chromebooks. Over the next two to three years, our goal is to be able to provide every CMS student with a Chromebook. A Chromebook is an Internet-dependent laptop that runs exclusively on Google’s Chrome operating system and are lightweight, portable, boot-up in seconds, and batteries last approximately eight hours. CMS students will not only have access to the computer labs, but will now be able to have technology at their fingertips in the classrooms.
Bringing this technology into CMS classrooms is the best way to provide a 21st century learning environment for our students. Chromebooks will boost our students’ capabilities of learning anytime and anywhere. Online access significantly broadens the scope of learning, providing digital resources, increasing creative thinking, while enhancing students’ communication and collaboration opportunities.
