UPGRADES AT CHAMPION HIGH SCHOOL BENEFIT STUDENTS/STAFF

It is not just the elementary and middle school students/staff gaining new building improvements. CHS students /staff will see many new improvements as well. They include:   
• HS parking lot/driveway paving -completed in July: $417,130 general fund -Hammond Construction.
• Refurbishing of gymnasium ceiling -new ceiling coating and painting of gym venting: $ 153,929-general fund-Kreidler Construction 
• Gym bleachers replaced -home/visitors- installed August: $ 120,924- general fund-Farnham Bleacher
• Softball/ Baseball fields’ construction at HS, relocating the Soccer field and reseeding finished end of August: $446,888- United Civil. $ 398,000 paid through Local Funded Share of Construction Bond-remaining $ 48,888 paid through general fund. 
• HS interior hallway walls freshly painted: $ 900/paint-completed by in-house staff.
• Two classroom floors re-tiled/repairing floor damage: $5,500 general fund-Design Unlimited Flooring
• New water fountains installed with bubblers for filling water bottles: $ 2500 general fund.
• Power washed exterior building/stains removed: $1400 general fund- Bradley Pressure Washing.
• Front CHS landscaping- -new trees and shrubs: $9,600 general fund-O’Donnell Landscaping.
• Mahoning Avenue ditch (front of HS) filled in: $ 16,500 general fund-Miller Yount Paving.
• New roofs for two stadium concession stands, field house and storage building: $ 24,900 general fund- Fenton Construction.
• New ticket booth constructed-$ 8,500 general fund-completed in-house.
• Auditorium theatrical lighting (2nd part of 3 year upgrade)-$ 25,000 general fund- Vincent Lighting.
• Replacing flagpole at CHS entrance: estimate $4,500
