CMS Invention Convention

CMS Invention Convention featured at Student Achievement Fair

Champion Middle School 8th graders held an Invention Convention last spring as part of an interdisciplinary unit, utilizing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), promoting entrepreneurship, marketing skills, networking and business practices. The students worked in teams to create inventions that will solve current problems, developed, tested and redesigned prototypes and created marketing campaigns to pitch their inventions. This month Champion Middle School’s 8th grade Invention Convention was featured at the Ohio School Board Association’s Student Achievement Fair, which highlighted over 100 outstanding innovative initiatives from public school districts across the state.
