Champion High School’s Outdoor Learning Project: The project focuses on the design and construction of a greenhouse at the high school. Learning activities involving drafting, problem analysis, teamwork, critical thinking and leadership skills will be incorporated. The greenhouse will have solar panels and plantings and be used as an outdoor learning lab.

Champion Middle Schools Camp Fitch Outdoor Experience: Funding from the grant will support CMS’s 6th grade students’ Camp Fitch Outdoor Adventure. Camp Fitch is located on the shores of Lake Erie in Pennsylvania. The camping experience is for 3 days and two nights. Students will have experiences developing skills in self-reliance, building respect for nature and the outdoors and developing character and gaining leadership skills. The grant money helps underwrite the costs for students not able to afford this experience otherwise.
