Champion Township Trustees are now accepting applications for Champion Township Fiscal Officer for the unexpired term ending March 31, 2020. Applicants must be a qualified elector and a resident of the township and willing to complete all necessary legal requirements including state mandated continuing education. The Fiscal Officer shall keep an accurate account of all the board's proceedings and an exact record of all accounts and transactions. It is the responsibility of the Township Fiscal Officer to comply strictly with the legal requirements set for the Township Fiscal Officer's duties, to establish and practice rules for efficient management of the Township Fiscal Officer's office, and to follow good accounting practices in maintaining records and accounts. Salary for the position shall be in accordance with Ohio Revised Code. Candidates with experience working with government finance, accounting or bookkeeping will be preferred.
