The Champion Science Club would like to thank Cynthia Orr from Mosquito Lake State Park for making a presentation about Raptors. She is the seasonal naturalist for the park and works for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Mrs. Orr discussed the many fascinating adaptations of these amazing birds which are very important to our local environment. Science Club members are currently working on several nest boxes for owls to be placed near Mosquito Lake behind the Trumbull County Family and Agriculture Center in Cortland as part of their stewardship projects to help the local environment.
