Rotarians: Be the Inspiration

The Champion Rotary Club 2018 Installation Dinner was recently held. Past president Russell Banks installed the 2018-19 club president Gloria Martinek as well as the 2018-2019 officers. Newly installed officers and committee chairpersons pledged their dedication to specific roles that all contribute to the success of the club. Club officers include John E. Hickey, secretary, Mary Jo Ohlin, treasurer; Merial Price Sergeant at Arms. Rex Fee is the 2018-19 president-elect.
Committee chairpersons include John Pitts, vocational, Babette Sisler, international/Interact liaison; Merial Price and Sarah Banks, special projects, Bill Bryant, program chair, John JEF Fisher, community service, and Cheryl Knowlton, club service. Each Rotarian recommitted themselves to the goals of Rotary at local, district and international levels. The fellowship was tremendous as club members were able to reflect on the past year and revitalize themselves for the coming challenges of the new year.
The Champion Rotary Club is dedicated to serve the local community as well as district and international projects including the Memorial Day Parade, Safety Town, Cookies with Santa, the Bluegrass Celebration, sponsorship of inbound and outbound students, local scholarships, clothing and food drives, and support of the ongoing mission to end the affliction of polio worldwide, to name only a few.
