Again this year SCOPE Senior Services will partner with the AARP Foundation to offer free tax preparation and assistance. Please call ahead to set an appointment for any of the SCOPE locations during tax season.  

Warren SCOPE Senior Center is at the YWCA Building 375 North Park Ave. Warren every day Mondays – Fridays from 8:45 am to 12:30pm. There are also evening hours on Tuesdays from 3:45 to 6:15 pm. Call 330-399-8846 for reservations.

Howland Township Building is located in Trustees Hearing Room at 205 Niles- Cortland Rd. in Howland next to the fire department on Tuesdays from 8:45am to 12:30pm. Call 330-399-8846 for reservations.

Liberty Township Administration Building on Churchill on Wednesdays from 9:30 am till 12:30 pm. Appointments are required by calling 330-399-8846 

Lordstown SCOPE Senior Center is located at back door of Elementary School at 1776 Salt Springs Road in Lordstown on Thursdays from 9:30 am till 12:30 pm. Call 330-399-8846 for reservations. 

The Niles SCOPE Senior Center is located across from the Fire Station at 14 East State St. on Friday’s from 9 am to 2pm. Appointments are required by calling Niles Senior Center direct at 330-544-3676

Please bring photo ID(s), Social Security Card(s), Last year’s return, income information, and if you receive an Affordable Care Act Forms 1095 bring that also with proof of hospitalization insurance. If you plan to have direct deposit of your refund, then bring a copy of one of your checks with you. For joint filing both taxpayers should be at the appointment.

Tax preparation is free for low to moderate income families and all seniors. Free transportation can also be provided by calling SCOPE at 330-399-8846.
