Rotary Club of Champion, in conjunction with the Champion Schools Senior Citizens Advisory Council, is now accepting nominations of Champion senior citizens for its “2018 Performing Artist of the Year Award.”

Nominees must be a “senior” citizen (60 years or older) and currently living in Champion. Nomination forms are now available at the Champion Board of Education offices and must be submitted no later than March 9 to Lynda Norton at Champion Local Schools, 5976 Mahoning Avenue, N.W., Suite B, Warren, OH 44483. Rotary Club of Champion will again select the winner.

The Performing Artist of the Year Award will be presented at the 8th Annual “SWING INTO SPRING” dinner/theater and award program to be held in the Champion High School cafeteria on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M. Cost of the dinner/theater is $ 3.00 paid at the door. Reservations are required for the dinner/theater and can be made by calling Lynda Norton, Superintendent’s Administrative Assistant, at 330-847-2338. The last day to make reservations is Tuesday, March 13. The dinner/theater is planned in cooperation with the Champion Schools’ Senior Citizen Advisory Council and the Champion Board of Education.
