There will be a Public Hearing for a JEDD (Joint Economic Development District), on November 12, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Administration Building at 240 Marshall Ave.
Special Meeting September 22, 2025
The Champion Township Trustees will be attending the Special Meeting of the Howland Township Trustees on September 22, 2025, at 6 pm, at the Howland Administration Building, for the purpose of discussing concerns related to potential property tax reductions or elimination, and the resulting impact on township operations.
Special Meeting September 18, 2025
The Champion Township Trustees will have a special meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 6 pm, at the Township Administration Building, at 240 Marshall Ave, for the purpose of discussing Records Retention Schedules. The Trustees will also enter into Executive Session to consider the appointment, dismissal, discipline, or compensation of a public employee or official, as outlined by ORC Section 121.22(G)(1).
Community Events Announced
The following dates were established by the Trustees at the meeting on 9/8/25:
Saturday 10/18/25: Trunk or Treat from 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm at the Admin Building at 240 Marshall
Thursday 10/30/25 : Trick or Treat from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Saturday 12/6/25: Township Tree Lighting from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Admin Building at 240 Marshall
Special Meeting July 17. 2025
The Champion Township Trustees will have a special meeting on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 6 pm, for the purpose of 2026 Tax Budget discussions and to approve the Resolutions to Proceed with Renewal Levies for both Police and Road, for the November 2025 election. The meeting will be held at the Champion Township Administration Building, located at 240 Marshall Avenue.
Special Meeting July 21, 2025
The Champion Township Trustees will have a special meeting on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 6 pm, at the Township Administration Building, at 240 Marshall Ave, for the purpose of discussing recent flooding issues within the township.
Public Hearing Scheduled
The Champion Township Trustees will hold a public hearing on July 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at 240 Marshall Ave, Warren, Ohio, 44483, to discuss the 2026 Budget (Tax Budget). Two copies of the Budget are on file in the Fiscal Office.

Workshop Meeting Rescheduled
The Champion Township Trustees regularly scheduled Workshop Meeting for June 17, 2025, has been moved to Monday, June 23, 2025, at 6:00 pm, at the Champion Township Administration Building, located at 240 Marshall Avenue.
Champion Community Event Committee sets prep meeting
The Champion Community Event Committee will meet on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the 240 Marshall Ave Building to continue preparations for the Community Tree Lighting event set for Saturday December 7, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Trustees approved the following community events to be held at the Marshall Building (240 Marshall Ave):
- Trunk or Treat will be 10/19 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The event will be hosted by Trustees and Rotary.
- Community Christmas Tree Lighting will be 12/7 from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will be hosted by Trustees and Rotary.
